Google Adsense nolonger appear. Why?

Google Adsense does not appear on my blog for some time. I get no notification regarding this issue, ough why? AFter searching for answer at Adsense forum, I found some other member facing same problem. The problem cause by PIN for address verification is not entered after three requests.

If check on the bottom page of the PIN form, you may see notification that you should send Adsense your ID card soft copy. I sent it, and within hours, Adsense appears on my blog.

Here its email from Adsense team tell me that my address is now verified:

Hello,

Thank you for sending your proof of identity.

I'm happy to let you know that this fulfills the address verification
requirement for AdSense. You no longer need to enter a PIN.

Bing Webmaster Reward $50 Free Ads to Its User

Today I get message from Bing Webmaster Team, they reward me $50 in free advertsing credit on Microsoft and Yahoo! ads network. This reward valid until October 31st, 2011. Hmmm, yummy :). They also announce that Bing now integrated its data with Yahoo! Search. Perhaps it was an old story, since Yahoo! Search, AFAIK, use Bing as their main search engine.

Klikmedia.net: AdSense Alternative for Indonesian Web Publisher

AdSense only supports for theselanguages web site. Publisher with Indonesian as primarily language may not place ads for content on their web pages, and ads for search only. But now, there is an alternative to AdSense with larger platform supported: klikmedia.net.

I see this new label for AdSense on my blog today. Hmmm, I think its good initiative. But the triangle icon on right-top of image/flash ads isn't cool :). Perhaps AdSense will redesign it. And, why that landing page doesn't show ads? So publisher will not lose any opportunity to get revenue. Every single click does matters :).

Effectiveness Of Specific Info On Online Advertising

I write my thought about effectiveness of specific info in online advertising  here (AdSense as example of  "general ads"). Is my hypothesis correct? Hmmm, I don't know :). But, its nothing to lose to prove it, eh? So, I try on my other blog www.galuhpakuan.org. This blog contains my personal note about company information (address, phone number, web site) and my description about that company. And it, I think, represents data I need: general info of a business entity.

After searching around web, advertising network that deliver "specific ads" is Chitika. Yes, its not contextual ads, so it is not perfect choice in my test. But I couldn't find better alternative. I put it in most strategic ad slot, alongside body post. And it will be replaced by other advertising network in same place next time (perhaps about two weeks) as comparison.

My test just begun yesterday, perhaps in weeks I could see the result: "specific ads" more effective then "general ads".

Note:
-Effective here meaning that "specific ads" attract the user to click ads then "general ads".
-This is my personal experiment of online ads on my blog, not endorsed by any party.

If Only Google AdSense And Product Search Get Married :)

AdSense usually delivers "general" ads. I mean, for example my posting about upgrading RAM acer 4738z, ads from an online computer store, typically will say "buy computer at our shop, cheap blah blah blah". I think its better if AdSense delivers ads "get acer 4738z for only $ 300..." or "KingStone DDR3 2GB for only $ 50..." with thumbnail of its product alongside ad text. My reader will know how to upgrade his Acer 4738z, and where to buy these stuff with best price.

Will advertiser get benefit? I believe, the answer is yes. In illustration above, my reader who visit advertiser know exactly what they want, "Now I know how to upgrade it, I want that RAM to upgrade my Acer, you offer me best price".

Advertiser: Product search is free, why should I pay for advertising on AdSense?
You not only invite visitor to your web site, but you invite potential buyer. How many seller you must compete on Product search? Why not you try offer your product directly to that potential buyer? You still promote your product on Product search service, while pay for penny on AdSense for less competitor per page.

People seem more interested in "product" not "seller" or "manufacturer" information. People know about NOKIA, for example, but they will find specific product from NOKIA rather then try to explore all its products. So, ads on "specific item" will be more effective then ads in "general".

Perhaps someday, AdSense will marry Product search :).

AdSense for Mobile: Another Way Monitizing Your Web

I got an email from AdSense newsletter in April 2011: AdSense for mobile. Hmmmm, what is this? Then I log into my AdSense account and found a new ads format. I have not tried this yet, cause I don't have any mobile web site or applications :).

Then I visit its official web site, as an AdSense publisher, now I have possibility to get max revenue with mobile web site version. AdSense for Mobile support following country: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Slovenia, Thailand, and Turkey. Actually AdSense for Mobile is launched in 2007 for US, England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Russia, Netherlands, Australia, India, China, and Japan. 

You may use Analytics data of your visitor's device capabilities to determine if this ad format has potential revenue. Google Analytics provide comprehensive data about device capabilities, pageviews etc. So, if you think you have good opportunity,  why not try it?

For mobile application developer, Google offer AdMob.

Advertising Features That AdSense Should Has

I've write review about some online advertising here, and after I try them out, I found some interesting features:

-BidVertiser's Free Design Ads: By using this feature, you may design ads completely match to your template layout. Not only font style and background color, you event can define dimension of your ads. I think this feature is very useful, and other online advertising network should have it. And ad will no longer hurt web designer :).

Google AdSense: At Last I Get My First Earning

When I open my blogger account today, I get impressed by my AdSense report: $0.01 my first earning. Wow!

OK, this is what impress me: I have tried advice and suggestion on AdSense help and others source but they seem for advance user, not beginner like me. And the example they show usually for self hosted web site, and not for Blogger. I mean, for example, how to put the code in side body of article. You can see in this blog, ad placed in post area and this placement give me my first earning. I must try it by my self and Blogger doesn't give easier way to achieve it. Blogger only offer ads placement on sidebar and below post, and this not best placement based on my experiment. Although it is not CPC (cost per click) but CPM(cost per million), I understand now how important placement is.

Yes, its only $0.01, but my experience while learning AdSense system is more valuable and enjoyable. Many sources on net teach you how to get high payment, but remember blogging for money only will disappoint you.

Affiliate Advertising Beside Amazon

Previously been discussed Amazon affiliate advertising. Besides Amazon, a few other affiliate worth a try:


-eBay Partner Network, the registration process a bit complicated and they will ask for your business model. I do not know the fashion business as what they want, perhaps a kind of on line stores or classified ads.I ever sign up for blogs www.galuhpakuan.com but not accepted :). Email replies from the registration process about 3 days. Replies received did not explain the cause rejection of the application clearly, only saying that this blog business model does not comply with their standards, negh!

-Google Affiliates Network (GAN), you must have been received in Google AdSense if you want to follow this program GAN. With the affiliate model, publisher / owner of the web can choose the desired own advertisers to serve ads on web pages. I have not tried this GAN, still complicated conquer AdSense :).

You must have a web site to apply this affiliate network, I suggest you register at trusted web hosting such as 000webhost or 25% off Website Builders at Go Daddy!.

Most of affiliate advertising model in principle is an ad-based CPA (cost per action). Meant something like this, for example, my blog  display ads iPhone4 from Amazon and the user clicks on the ad, the user will be taken to the Amazon web page, if the user buy the product before, then I will get 15% commission from sales of these iPhone4. This is just an illustration only, each advertiser will have the mechanism, the number of shared commission or other rules are different. Please read the rules of each advertiser prior to registering.

AdSense for Domains: Worth to Try for Park Domain

Park domain is a domain that is already registered but not yet on line. The domain registered in advance so as not taken. Suppose you have a well-known company PT. Forward Backward Prosperous and do not want anyone using the name majumundursejahtera.com. Then you can register a domain in advance and park (park) the domain of web hosting company before the web site so contrived. His grave if someone uses your company name as an adult website address :).


Generally, web sites that are not ready will display the text under construction, but now that domain park can be used for AdSense for Domains. Making it possible to display AdSense ads, meaning that there is an opportunity to generate revenue.


Ask the web hosting site domain register DNS for DNS to use Google. Namely:
ns1.googleghs.com
ns2, googleghs.com
ns3.googleghs.com
ns4.googleghs.com

Make sure the domain is redirected to the DNS server to use google to check the nslookup command in DOS.


This example I use a free domain www.distroworld.co.cc to be registered in the AdSense for Domains. On the dashboard AdSense Ads go into Setup, select the Get Ads, choose AdSense for Domains, select the Add new domain, enter the domain address at the prompt, select language, then click the Add domain.

Newly registered domains will enter the Pending tab. If you already approved AdSense, will go to the Active tab. To edit the design, keywords and the language, click the domain name will enter the editing menu. Setting the design according to taste. Keywords will affect the category of what ads are shown.

Review Online Advertising

Some online advertising ever appear on this blog, just to enliven the atmosphere. I think the positive thing to try, could at least know how the system works. So far, only to see another serious blog or website. That so the record for me, blogging to keep try to give something useful. If the mere pursuit of online advertising, just a waste of time.

Memasang 2 Google Custom Search Element Di Blog

Blogger has the Custom Search gadget for searching service. But if you already have an  AdSense for Search, it is better to use Custom Search Element. Select Search my site and use AdSense for Search. Enter your AdSense ID and copy the code in the gadget HTML / Javascript.

If you want to use the two search boxes like on this blog, edit the code provided by changing the element id. Take a look at the picture below:

Tip Pass Google AdSense Registration

Blog www.galuhpakuan.com as of 22/03/11 has been fitted with an advertising Google AdSense ads, rather to enrich the atmosphere. Regarding the list of Google Adsense experience, I write here.

Not like AdBrite, Chitika and others advertising networks, AdSense tends fussy, complicated, and even the reason for rejecting the application  uncleared for beginner like me. Suppose you were rejected, the reason is partial refusal, meaning that not all details of the problem on your blog AdSense explain in email notification. If you have time to visit the forum, many are frustrated because they disapproved by AdSense :). I still keep its email, just a memento. In fact, AdSense has given a fairly good guide, maybe because I am clueless about computers.

Some of rejection:

Make sure the domain is propagating well before apply

Example to check DNS propagation

* Difficult site navigation: make sure your website on-line. Suppose you are blogging on blogspot.com  with a custom domain, make sure your domain already well-propagation. In the Microsoft DOS, you can check with nslookup command. Example: nslookup www.example.com.
*Your website should use top level domain (.com, .net, .info etc). You cant use sub level domain, eg. domain from free domain registrar. Register at GoDaddy.com to get your domain for low price.
* Content is not sufficient: the blog should already contain a minimum content of approximately 20 posts. Every post about 3 paragraphs around 500 characters. Content is very important! Crawler googlebot (google crawler machines) will read your web page and index it as a text browser. Content images, flash and audio will not be legible crawler. If your content is the majority of images, such as collection of photos, give a clear desccription and "alt" given the text that describes your photo. Try to check your web page with webmaster tools from Google or Microsoft to determine the level of legibility by the crawler, is already well indexed by crawlers or not. There is tool  provided  to preview the report, eg html code is valid, not found (File not found 404), or other useful suggestions.
 *Give more attention on you home page. Make sure there is no dead link on your main page!
* Language not supported: My current blog is written in Bahasa Indonesian. When registering with euweuh.blogspot.com address rejected language is not supported. Then I use a custom domain www.galuhpakuan.com and accepted for AdSense for Search. Your content must be in language that support by AdSense, please read here.
* Address is unclear, untrue, or not given: wow, this is the time to make annoyed. AdSense reject the application because I type the village name as the address :).  AdSense only accept addresses with a format like image below:

I chose the individual account, the name must match the name on your ID card / bank account,  important because you can not edit it later if the application has been approved.
For Indonesian applicant: Consider the example form above, the address bar begins road (Jl. Nama Jalan No. 1 ), without the prefix "Jl." application will be rejected, perhaps this automation in the AdSense system. Other information also adjust the KTP/ID Card. Phone number, eg your GSM number is 0821-1234-5678 then write the code given country, Indonesia code is +62, so 62-821-1234-5678. This number will be contacted google for example you have reached the threshold to get the PIN verification,  I never got a call :).

Although just a fad, I'm pretty happy my curiosity relieved. Ads AdSense advertising now "show up" also on  this blog, feel my blog  like it was real website :).
