IPv6 will be enabled on major sites (Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Facebook etc..) on June 8 2011. Its called World IPv6 Day. Don't worry, they still support old IPv4. If you experience delay when access www.google.com, you may visit http://ipv4.google.com/ instead.

What is IPv6?
IPv6 stand for Internet Protocol version 6. It is next generation of IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4). IPv4 is running out, and IPv6 comes to resolve this problem.

Most of modern Operating System support IPv6, in this example I show you how to activate IPv6 on my Windows XP:
1. Go to Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click Network and Internet Protocol
4. Open Network Connections
5. Right click on any local area, in this example I chose my wire connection, then click Properties
6. Check whether IPv6 is installed or not
7. To install, click Install, select Protocol, select Microsoft TCP/IP Version 6, click OK
8. Click Close to save changes.

Just repeat step above from 1 to 6. Select Microsoft TCP/IP version 6, then click Uninstall, click Close to exit and save change, that's it.
That's easy, should I activate it now?
No :). Remember that you are connected to Internet by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). You must consult to their tech-support, if their network is IPv6 enabled or not. You also should check your network equipment (modem, router, switch), check if they are IPv6 ready.
