A friend of mine got problem with his Microsoft Outlook; Outlook crash and ask to restart while downloading email. I try to googling and found that its caused by outlfltr.dll has error and need to be replaced with new fresh one. You may download it here, in .zip format.
Close Microsoft Outlook if it already opened.Unpack it, then copy to Microsoft Outlook installation folder. The default installation: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12.
Start your Outlook again, then try to download email. See if problem cleared.
Tips:
-Scan the file you download for viruses.
-Backup the old outlfltr.dll before copy the new one to replace it.
-Windows usually will attempt to report a problem to Microsoft support when a program crash, check what information are going to be sent. You can search for help on Internet based on that information.
